This notice explains what information Rise in the Gap collects through this website and the emails we send, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Rise in the Gap LLC (“we”) runs this site. Questions go to jonas@riseinthegap.com.
What we collect and why
- The contact form. Your first name, last name, email address and message. We use them to reply to you. The submission is saved as a contact in our customer relationship management system and opens a conversation in our inbox, and Jonas is notified.
- Booking a Find the Gap Call. The scheduling page collects your name, email address and anything you enter, and creates a calendar event with us.
- The calculator. The figures you enter stay in your browser and are not sent to us. If you copy a link to your numbers, those figures are in the link itself.
- Analytics. Our hosting platform loads Google Analytics, which uses cookies to record the pages visited, the device used and an approximate location. We look at this in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
- Fonts and embedded tools. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and the form and booking tools from their providers. Those providers receive your IP address in order to serve them.
Workshop invitations and emails
We may send a one-time invitation to a business email address that the business publishes on its own website. If you RSVP or reply, we send you emails about that workshop. These emails go out through our email platform, delivered by Twilio SendGrid, which records opens and link clicks. Reply ‘no thanks’ or use the unsubscribe link and we won’t email you again. We keep your address on a do-not-contact list so it stays that way.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for anything other than responding to you, running an engagement you have agreed to, sending the workshop emails described above, and understanding traffic to the site.
Who handles it on our behalf
Service providers that host and run the website, the contact form, the scheduling page and analytics, and our email platform and its delivery provider (Twilio SendGrid). They receive information only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records while they are useful to the relationship. We delete them when you ask, unless we need to keep something to meet a legal obligation.
Your choices
- Email jonas@riseinthegap.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Children
This site is for business owners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this notice
When this notice changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
